ANNUAL POSTER AWARD

On February 26, 2011, the membership of the International Society of Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology (ISBSTP) approved an Annual Award for the Best Poster (vs Abstract) presented at the US-Canadian Academy of Pathology meeting by a trainee (resident or fellow) in Pathology. The selection is performed by a selected group of three judges from the Society, appointed each year from the membership, and carries a monetary sum of US$500.

The ISBSTP Poster Award is intended to stimulate interest in the field of soft tissue and bone pathology and advance our understanding about the diagnosis prognosis and/or pathogenesis of this collection of rare diseases.

The ISBSTP Distinguished Achievement Award is presented to a member of the ISBSTP Society who has made significant achievements and contributions to the field of bone and soft tissue pathology and is recognized for leadership in this subdiscipline. The purpose of this award is to recognize a member of the Society who has attained extraordinary distinction and accomplishment in the field of bone and/or soft tissue pathology and whose achievements have brought benefit to the practice and care of patients with bone or soft tissue disease processes.
